In my role as sound designer, I intentionally softened the audio at the beginning of the film to direct attention towards the visuals, subtly shaping the atmosphere without overpowering it. Through thoughtful sound mixing, I aimed to amplify the emotional resonance of memories depicted on screen. Notably, I removed sound entirely during the park scenes to clearly distinguish this sequence as a significant flashback—highlighting its importance in the characters’ lives and signalling its narrative difference to the audience.
